Central Railway’s Cultural Team triumphed at the Inter-Railway Cultural Competition (Dance)-2025 held at Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, on 26th & 27th February 2025. The team won the prestigious “Sartaj” trophy for Best Overall Performance among all participating Zones, Workshops, and Production Units of Indian Railways.

Rituparna Bhowmik of Central Railway secured the 1st prize in Solo Classical Dance for her Kathak performance, competing against 17 participants. The Central Railway Group Dance team won the 3rd prize in the Group Dance category, presenting the Daangi Dance, a folk dance from the Daang region on the Maharashtra-Gujarat border, out of 18 competing teams.

The team consisted of 23 artistes, including dancers, choreographers, accompanists, makeup artists, and assistants, all led by the Team Manager.

Shri Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager of Central Railway, congratulated the team, while Shri Arvind Malkhede, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, highlighted the importance of teamwork. The annual competition aims to discover and promote talented employees and their dependents across Indian Railways.
