Sh. Satish Kumar, Chairman & CEO of the Railway Board, conducted a comprehensive review of the Vaitarna-Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC).

The review meeting saw the participation of senior officials from DFCCIL, Tata Projects, IRCON, and Mitsui, alongside top Railway Board representatives. Discussions focused on assessing project progress, addressing challenges, and ensuring timely completion to enhance freight efficiency.

This strategic section of the WDFC is crucial for boosting port connectivity and fostering economic growth by expediting cargo movement to and from JNPT, a vital trade hub. Sh. Kumar emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration to meet project deadlines.
