239 Students Graduate as University Aligns with Industry Giants like Airbus; PM Modi’s Vision of a World-Class Institution Takes Shape in Vadodara

Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Railway Minister and Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, graced the second convocation ceremony of the university in Vadodara o 30th November, 2024. Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the university awarded degrees to 239 students across various faculties, with four students receiving gold medals for academic excellence.

In his address, Shri Vaishnaw highlighted the institution's critical role in shaping India's future transportation and logistics workforce. He praised the Prime Minister’s leadership, noting the university’s collaboration with industry giants like Airbus to design industry-aligned curricula. He also emphasized the operationalization of the Tata-Airbus plant in Vadodara, which will require 15,000 engineers, underscoring the synergy between academia and industry.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel encouraged graduates to contribute to the nation's development, aligning with the vision of a developed India by 2047. The event also featured insights from Dr. Hemang Joshi, MP and court member, and a progress report by Vice Chancellor Shri Manoj Chaudhary.

Earlier, Shri Vaishnaw inspected advanced rail facilities in Gujarat, including the Bullet Train track slab manufacturing factory and Plasser India's Karjan plant. He commended the "Make in India" initiatives and emphasized Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya's role in creating skilled professionals for global opportunities.
