Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) convened its inaugural Court meeting at Rail Bhawan, New Delhi on 19th November, 2024. Chaired by Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, the meeting featured detailed discussions on GSV's vision, progress, and future roadmap. A comprehensive progress report was presented by Prof. Manoj Choudhary, Founding Vice-Chancellor, highlighting achievements since GSV’s establishment on December 6, 2022. The members reviewed the Annual Reports and Annual Accounts, which were approved for submission to Parliament.

Key announcements included the introduction of training for Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) officers, combining theoretical and practical learning across Centralized Training Institutes and industry exposure, culminating in an MBA from GSV. Sh. Vaishnaw also announced upcoming academic programs in Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, Aviation Operations, Maritime Infrastructure, Highway Engineering, and defense-related disciplines.

The Court deliberated on suggestions for collaborative initiatives in areas like artificial intelligence, green hydrogen, ports modernization, logistics for defense sectors, and infrastructure project management. Proposals were made to position GSV as a nodal center for affiliating national academies in infrastructure domains and to foster collaborations with global universities and industries.

The event was attended by prominent leaders, including Shri Satish Kumar, Chairman & CEO of the Railway Board; Shri V Uma Shankar, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways; Lt. Gen. NR Raja Subramani, Vice-Chief of Army Staff; Sunil Mathur, MD & CEO, Siemens India; Olivier Loison, MD, Alstom India; and Jaya Jagadish, MD, AMD India. Representatives from various ministries and academic bodies, along with GSV officials, participated actively.

The meeting reinforced GSV's mission as an industry-driven, innovation-led institution to produce skilled professionals across transportation, logistics, and infrastructure sectors, cementing its role as a transformative force in higher education.
