Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister, inaugurated Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras at 18 locations across India, including Kacheguda Railway Station, via remote video link on 13th November 2024. To mark the event, a function was also held at Kacheguda Railway Station, where Shri Lokesh Vishnoi, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Hyderabad Division; Shri Rehman M.A., Additional DRM; and other senior Railway officials from Headquarters and Hyderabad Division were present.
During the event, the PM also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development projects in Darbhanga, Bihar, worth approximately Rs 12,100 crore, spanning the Health, Rail, Road, Petroleum, and Natural Gas sectors. Addressing the gathering, Shri Modi highlighted the government’s commitment to welfare and development, specifically mentioning that the Jan Aushadhi Kendras would make affordable medicines accessible nationwide.
At Kacheguda Railway Station, Shri Lokesh Vishnoi, DRM of Hyderabad, expressed pride in the Prime Minister’s nationwide launch of Janaushadhi Kendras, noting that Indian Railways is committed to meeting public needs by enhancing facilities at railway stations. He said that Janaushadhi Kendras would offer quality medicines at affordable prices, improving passenger wellness and welfare by providing convenient access to Janaushadhi products.
Kacheguda Railway Station, one of South Central Railway's major stations, serves approximately 47,000 passengers daily, with nearly 100 trains originating and terminating there. The new Janaushadhi Kendra in Kacheguda’s circulating area is expected to be highly beneficial for thousands of passengers and the general public, making essential medicines accessible at affordable rates.
