Railways Takes Quick Action After Video Highlights Unhygienic Samosa Vending on Train

IRCTC has taken quick action after a video allegedly showing unhygienic handling and sale of samosas onboard a train surfaced on social media. In response to the incident, IRCTC stated that a detailed investigation was conducted and the matter was identified as a case of unauthorized vending. IRCTC said the incident has been brought to the notice of the concerned authorities for appropriate action. The onboard service provider has also been cautioned and directed to promptly report such incidents to railway authorities in the future. The corporation reiterated that strict adherence to food safety norms and service standards remains a top priority.
