An inspection of the Kamakhya–Dimapur section was carried out on 02.05.2026 by Shri Vivek Kumar Gupta, Member Infrastructure (MI), Railway Board, accompanied by the Principal Chief Engineer/NFR, General Manager/Construction/NFR, and Divisional Railway Manager/Lumding. During the visit, a detailed window trailing inspection was conducted between Kamakhya and Dimapur. This was followed by inspections at Guwahati, Lumding, and Dimapur railway stations. The inspection focused on assessing passenger amenities, safety measures, track and infrastructure maintenance, and reviewing the progress of ongoing developmental works across the section.
