REDEVELOPMENT OF PISKA STATION UNDER AMRIT BHARAT STATION SCHEME A SIGNIFICANT INFRASTRUCTURE INITIATIVE BY INDIAN RAILWAYS

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme signifies a concerted effort by Indian Railways to modernize its infrastructure in order to elevate the travel experience for millions of passengers. The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is a long-term plan to improve railway stations across India in a step-by-step manner. Altogether, 72 stations of South Eastern Railway are being developed under this scheme. Detailed plans are made for each station and the work is done in phases, based on what each station needs. The goal is to make stations cleaner, more comfortable, and easier to use.

Piska Railway station under jurisdiction of Ranchi division in Ranchi district, Jharkhand, is among the stations being upgraded under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The redevelopment work aims to transform the modest station with more passenger-centric amenities.

The redevelopment of Piska Railway Station is expected to benefit thousands of daily passengers from Ranchi and surrounding areas. Enhanced facilities and improved connectivity will also contribute to economic development in the region, attracting more investment and supporting tourism across Jharkhand.


Upgraded facilities at Piska Station:

The following passenger amenities will be added to Piska station during the redevelopment work:

  • New Station Building
  • New Circulating Area
  • New Parking Area
  • New Lifts
  • New 12 meter wide Foot Over Bridge
  • Improved Approach Road
  • Welcome Gate
  • Divyangjan facilities i.e. Ramp, Booking Counter, Water Booth, parking area, Toilet and Tactile Tile etc.
  • New Platform Shelter
  • Platform Surfacing
  • Water Booth
  • New Booking Counter
  • Waiting Room
  • Painted in theme of local Art & Culture
  • Seating Arrangements
