The initiative focuses on strengthening citizens’ participation, support station modernization during Amrit Kaal for a developed, modern, and passenger-friendly railway network

In line with the vision of Amrit Kaal and guided by the principle of Panch Pran as enunciated by Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Ministry of Railways has launched a new citizen-centric initiative under Special Campaign 5.0. This initiative, inspired by Rail Chaupal held last year across Indian Railways, was now organized in the form of Amrit Samvaad.

On 02nd October, 2025, Chairman & CEO, Railway Board Shri Satish Kumar participated in Amrit Samvaad at New Delhi Railway Station. During the Amrit Samvaad, he interacted with passengers and took feedback of the passengers on the various aspects of improvements done at stations.

Shri Satish Kumar also awarded 8 Safai Mitras for their commendable performance during Swachhata Hi Sewa Campaign and 3 student winners of painting competition organised on the theme of Cleanliness.

Amrit Samvaad provides a direct platform for dialogue between railway authorities and citizens, ensuring passenger feedback, concerns and suggestions are heard. Amrit Samvaad shall be organized at Amrit stations and other prominent stations across Indian Railways from 2nd October to 31st October.

The initiative will highlight improvements made at stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, including:

  • Upgraded waiting halls and toilets.
  • Improved lifts, escalators, and passenger information systems.
  • Free Wi-Fi and One Station One Product kiosks.
  • Landscaping and aesthetic enhancements.
  • Facilities for Divyangjan and other accessibility measures.

Amrit Samvaad will also gather suggestions for further improvements, such as:

  • Better circulation and integration with city transport systems.
  • Additional passenger amenities.
  • Energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.
  • Improved platform covers and personalized facilities for travellers.

The initiative focuses on strengthening citizens’ participation, support station modernization, and align with India’s broader vision during Amrit Kaal for a developed, modern, and passenger-friendly railway network.
