General Manager, Central Railway and Additional Member(Traffic), Railway Board launch Shramdaan initiative-Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath o­n Central Railway, as part of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign- 2025 

Shri Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway and Shri Devendra Kumar, Additional Member(Traffic), Railway Board launched the Shramdaan initiative- Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign- 2025 o­n 25.09.2025. The event also coincided with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.

Shri Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway and Shri Devendra Kumar, Additional Member (Traffic), Railway Board along with Shri Prateek Goswami, Additional General Manager and Principal Head of Departments of Central Railway participated in  Shramdaan by taking up cleaning activity of  the pavement of Central Railway’s New Administration Building, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai, marking a symbolic beginning of this mass Cleanliness campaign.

Shri Hiresh Mina, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division, Senior Officers from Mumbai Division along with employees also participated in  Shramdaan.

The event was flagged off with Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat slogans by railway staff to create awareness among the public. The event concluded with the General Manager’s appeal to all to uphold and promote cleanliness in every aspect of railway activities. 

On this occasion a beautiful Rangoli drawn across the Suburban Section outside Motorman’s Lobby by workshop staff  was  appealing enough to project the special initiative along with other activities under Swachhata Hi Sewa-2025 campaign.

As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign- 2025, Officers and Employees of Central Railway across Headquarters and Divisions have committed to dedicate 100 hours annually towards cleanliness activities, This initiative aims at improving cleanliness, creating awareness and motivating citizens to adopt cleanliness as a way of life. Public awareness workshops are also being conducted across divisions during the campaign period.

The Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025 with the theme “Swachhotsav” is being observed o­n Indian Railways from 17th Sept to 2nd Oct 2025. A synchronized 1 hour Shramdaan  activity aimed to project a nationwide participation of officers & staff jointly across the nation, displaying Jan Bhagidari and helping in establishing a Swachh Bharat.
