SHRI SUBHRANSU SEKHAR MISHRA APPOINTED AS NEW GENERAL MANAGER OF METRO RAILWAY, KOLKATA

The Ministry of Railways has appointed Shri Subhransu Sekhar Mishra (IRMS) as the new General Manager of Metro Railway, Kolkata. He has replaced Shri Milind K. Deouskar. Prior to this appointment, Shri Mishra was the General Manager of Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.

A Post Graduate from IIT Chennai, Shri Mishra is a 1988 batch officer of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) .

Shri Mishra, has more than 35 years of service in Indian Railways. He has worked in various capacities in various Zonal Railways, Production Units and in RVNL. Besides the Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer of the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, he has held posts of Chief Administrative Officer at Lattur/ICF, Chief Rolling Stock Engineer at Secunderabad and other key posts at Bhubaneswar, Vishakhapatnam, Kharagpur Division and other places. In his illustrious career in Railways, he has received many awards. He has served across the country in his official capacity for operation, maintenance, development and export of rolling stock.

Under the leadership of Shri Mishra, who is well known for his managerial and innovative skills in Indian Railways, Metro Railway will scale new height in efficiency and delivery of service.
