In a landmark initiative to enhance regional connectivity, Indian Railways has announced the introduction of a new daily express train service directly linking Guwahati, the gateway of the Northeast, with Sairang in the hills of Mizoram. This much-awaited service is set to provide a comfortable, reliable, and accessible mode of transport for thousands of passengers.

The new service, named the Mizoram Express, will operate daily, ensuring consistent and convenient travel options for commuters, tourists, and business travelers between Assam and Mizoram.

The train will operate under the following numbers:

  • Train No. 15609: Guwahati - Sairang Mizoram Express
  • Train No. 15610: Sairang - Guwahati Mizoram Express
