Shri Ganesh, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer (PCEE) of Southern Railway, inspected the newly electrified 52 km railway section between Ramanathapuram and Rameswaram railway stations in Madurai Division on 13th September 2025 and also conducted a High-Speed Trial run between Rameswaram to Ramanathapuram .  The PCEE was accompanied by Shri  Vishnu Kant, Chief Electrical  Distribution Engineer, Shri A .Sundaresan, Chief Electrical Engineer/Construction, Shri P.K.Deka, Chief Signal Engineer, Southern Railway and Shri L.N.Rao, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Madurai  Division of Southern Railway.

The PCEE,  during his inspection, took stock of various aspects of working such as the newly installed electric system such as the OHE, Substations and related equipment, points, crossings and curves, RoBs/RUBs,FOBs, Level Crossings, Interlocking and other safety parameters in Rameswaram - Ramanathapuram section. The PCEE also inspected the New Pamban Bridge and reviewed its functionality besides inspecting various electrical equipment newly installed in the bridge as part of railway electrification.
