Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway held a detailed review meeting o­n Safety of train operations across the Zone on 18th August, 2025 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Shri Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR and Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions participated through video conference.

Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava emphasized o­n strictly adhering to all safety protocols while carrying out infrastructure developmental works including laying of new tracks, signal works etc. He reiterated that shortcut methods should be completely avoided so as to prevent any untoward incidents. The General Manager also reviewed various safety drives undertaken across the zone to ensure smooth running of trains and availability of all safety equipments such as fire extinguishers etc. The General Manager discussed o­n the crew working hours, he instructed officials to carry out a systematic study and make meticulous action plan focusing o­n providing proper rest to the o­n-duty crew at proper time and interval.

Later, Shri Chetna Nand Singh, Senior Deputy General Manager, SCR gave a brief presentation o­n Vigilance Awareness Campaign being undertaken by the zone from 18th August to 17th November, 2025. He detailed o­n various aspects to be covered during the campaign period with main focus areas being Asset management and digital initiatives.
