Shri Satya Prakash, IRSE Assumes Charge as Additional General Manager (AGM), South Central Railway

Shri Satya Prakash assumed charge as Additional General Manager (AGM), South Central Railway on 4th August, 2025 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. He belongs to the 1988 batch of Indian Railways Service of Engineers (IRSE). Prior to the present assignment, he worked as Chief Administrative Officer (Construction), South Central Railway. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

During 35 years of illustrious service on Indian Railways, he has held several important posts such as Director/Vigilance/Railway Board, Project Incharge / IRCON/Malaysia, and Director/Track/RDSO. Beginning his career on Western Railway as Assistant Engineer, Surender Nagar, he went on to serve in North Central Railway too. Some other important positions include Principal Chief Engineer/Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE), and Dean/Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering (IRICEN), Pune.

He underwent training at INSEAD/Singapore and ICLIF/Malaysia. The prestigious Railway Minister’s Award was bestowed upon him while working as Principal Chief Engineer, Central Organisation for Railway Electrification, Allahabad. He also published three technical papers on ‘Long Welded Rails’ on Girder Bridges.
