Shri R.N. Singh, General Manager, Southern Railway, conducted a meeting on 21st April 2025, with Hon’ble Members of Parliament from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, representing constituencies/districts falling under the jurisdiction of Chennai Division.

Hon’ble Members of Parliament Shri T.R. Baalu, Shri Dayanidhi Maran, Shri Kathir Anand, Shri G. Selvam, Shri R. Girirajan, Smt. Kanimozhi NVN Somu, and Shri Sasikanth Senthil attended the meeting.

Shri Kaushal Kishore, Additional General Manager, Southern Railway, Shri B. Vishwanath Eerya, Divisional Railway Manager, Chennai, and the Principal Heads of Departments of Southern Railway also participated in the meeting.

Shri R.N. Singh, General Manager, Southern Railway, welcomed the dignitaries and apprised the Hon’ble MPs of various aspects of Southern Railway’s operations, highlighting the zone’s achievements and recent developments in passenger amenities at stations. He also emphasized the ongoing and recently completed infrastructural development works.

The Hon’ble MPs were informed about the various developmental initiatives undertaken by the Railways in the areas of station development, improvement of passenger amenities and services, etc. The MPs held discussions on various issues related to train services in their respective constituencies and the state, including stoppages, passenger facilities, and railway projects. They also offered valuable suggestions for the improvement of services and the overall development of the Railways in general and Southern Railway in particular.
