The augmentation of additional coaches in popular Express trains is an ongoing initiative aimed at improving the overall travel experience for passengers. Accordingly, in response to the overwhelming demand for tickets throughout the year, Railways has decided to augment an additional Air-Conditioned coach and Sleeper Class coaches in the Howrah–Jamalpur–Howrah Express on a permanent basis.

Passengers from Howrah, Barddhaman, Rampurhat, Sahibganj, Bhagalpur Junction, Sultanganj, and Jamalpur Junction areas will also be immensely benefitted. This enhancement will not only accommodate more passengers but also provide a more comfortable journey.

An additional one AC-3 Tier coach and two Sleeper Class coaches will be augmented with 13071/13072 Howrah–Jamalpur–Howrah Express, starting from Howrah with effect from 27.04.2025 and from Jamalpur with effect from 28.04.2025. A total of 230 additional berths will be generated in each trip. Hence, the train will now run with 22 coaches instead of 19 coaches.

Passengers are encouraged to take advantage of the increased berths and enjoy a more comfortable travel experience.
