Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway, inaugurated new facilities at Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda, Secunderabad, on 13th March 2025. Dr. Nirmala Rajaram, Principal Chief Medical Director, SCR; Shri Lokesh Vishnoi, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division; Dr. I. Siva Naga Prasad, Medical Director, Central Hospital, Lallaguda; Principal Heads of the Departments and other senior officials from Headquarters & Division were also present on the occasion.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain inaugurated a new CT scan facility at the hospital worth Rs. 5.42 crores. Until now, investigations such as CT Scan brain, CT chest, and CT abdomen were being outsourced. The new CT scan facility will be convenient for all Railway beneficiaries and will also help to reduce the referral expenditure.

The General Manager also inaugurated a Medicinal Plant Garden, developed within the hospital premises, featuring 20 varieties of medicinal plants like Tulsi, Aloe Vera, Lemongrass, Insulin plant, etc. An Ayurvedic doctor is available at the hospital for guidance on the medicinal plants.

Further, the General Manager inaugurated a fast-food canteen on the first floor of the OPD block, which will cater to Railway beneficiaries. Two coffee vending machines have also been installed to serve tea/coffee and snacks. He also inaugurated a four-wheel parking facility in front of the dormitory at Central Hospital for the convenience of Railway personnel visiting the hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, the General Manager appreciated the medical department for upgrading the facilities for the benefit of employees. He stated that the CT scan facility will be highly beneficial and convenient for Railway personnel, eliminating the problems associated with outsourcing tests. It will save time, and treatment can be provided promptly. He also complimented the medical team for the noble initiative of developing the medicinal plant garden at the hospital.
