The Civil Defence Organization of Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) organized a short training camp on Disaster Management and Civil Defence at Bhusawal Railway Station from 30 January to 01 February 2026.
The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Senior D.S.O. Shri Arun Pratap, by hoisting the flag.
The objective of this training camp was to provide railway employees and common citizens with essential practical knowledge and skills to ensure their own safety and the safety of others during any disaster or wartime situation.
In this three-day training camp, 33 officers and employees from BLW and approximately 50 railway employees from Central Railway actively participated. During the training, practical exercises were conducted on first aid, safe evacuation, and coordinated teamwork to deal with various disaster scenarios.
In continuation of this program, a grand mock drill was organized on 02 February 2026 at the Railway Higher Secondary School, Bhusawal, in which around 500 railway employees, school teachers, staff, students, and members of the general public participated enthusiastically.
During the mock drill, effective demonstrations were given on various techniques for safely rescuing casualties from multi-storey buildings during disaster or wartime situations, such as the parallel rope technique and rappelling method. In addition, live and practical demonstrations were conducted on different methods of firefighting, first aid, and rapid procedures for safely transporting the injured to hospitals.
On this occasion, the Camp Director from BLW, Dr. S.K. Maurya; Deputy Director Shri Markandey Mishra; Principal of Railway Higher Secondary School Shri S.N. Chhawal; D.E.N., Bhusawal Division, Central Railway, Shri Pacham Singh; along with C.D.I. Shri Ashish, Shri Sunil Kumar, Shri K.K. Pandey, Shri V.S. Pandey, and other officers and trainers were present.
The program was smoothly conducted by Senior Inspector Shri Sampurnanand Mishra.
