Ms Aruna Nayar, who is presently serving as Secretary to the Railway Board, has been appointed as Director General (Human Resources) in the Railway Board.

A 1987-batch officer of the Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), Ms Nayar brings with her decades of experience in personnel administration. Her appointment is expected to further strengthen the human resource framework of the Railways, drawing on her extensive administrative background and long-standing service.
