Vivek Kumar Gupta has been appointed as the Member (Infrastructure) of the Railway Board. He is currently serving as the General Manager of Western Railway.

An officer of the 1988 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), Gupta brings with him extensive experience in the field of railway infrastructure. His long association with engineering and infrastructure development within the Indian Railways is expected to strengthen strategic planning and execution at the Board level.
