A quarterly meeting of the Banaras Locomotive Works Official Language Implementation Committee was held on December 20, 2025, under the aegis of the Official Language Department of Banaras Locomotive Works. The meeting was chaired by the General Manager, Mr. Somesh Kumar. In his address, he stated that BLW is keeping pace with the latest schemes and policies of the Government of India and is dedicated to promoting the use of Hindi in the technical field in compliance with the National Education Policy and the Central Government's language policy. He instructed the officers and employees to write books on technical subjects in simple, conversational language.

General Manager Mr. Somesh Kumar congratulated everyone on BLW being selected for the first prize as an ideal production unit for the third consecutive time under the “Rail Minister's Rajbhasha Shield/Trophy” and the Rolling Trophy Award Scheme – Base Year 2024, conducted by the Ministry of Railways, Railway Board.

The heads of departments and officers present at the meeting discussed the progress report on the use of Hindi in their respective departments and presented their views. All the principal heads of departments, heads of departments, and other concerned officers were present on this occasion.

Earlier, welcoming the officers present, the Chief Official Language Officer, Mr. Ram Janam Chaubey, apprised them of the creative efforts being made for the use and progress of Hindi at BLW.

The meeting was conducted and the vote of thanks was given by the Senior Official Language Officer, Mr. Ankur Rampal.
