125 camps conducted 4,355 pensioners benefitted

In line with the directives of the Railway Board, Western Railway actively participated in the nation-wide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0, which was organized by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare from 1st November to 30th November, 2025.

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway, this campaign aims to empower pensioners through digital literacy and  facilitate the seamless submission of Digital Life Certificates using the ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ mobile application available o­n both Android and iOS devices. The Accounts Department of the Mumbai Central Division of Western Railway organized a Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Camp at station Superintendent's Office, Railway Colony and Valsad railway station. A total of 42 retired railway employees participated in the event and in this, seven disabled pensioners were visited at their homes, including a 103 year old pensioner who, due to her inability to travel, had her DLC generated at home with the assistance of the Accounts staff. Additionally, 25 pensioners were able to generate their DLCs at the station and 10 other pensioners received guidance o­n how to generate their DLCs.

All Divisions and Workshops of Western Railways actively participated in making DLC 4.0 a successful event held from 1st November to 30th November 2025. DLC 4.0 camps were organized almost every day at various locations and bank branches for the convenience of Pensioners and Family Pensioners. Special arrangements were also made for hospitalized Pensioners and Family Pensioners through visits to Railway Hospitals and Medical Units to facilitate generation of their DLCs. This year, door service was additionally provided for those who were unable to visit banks to submit their Life Certificates. The response was overwhelming with 4,355 Pensioners and Family Pensioners submitting their DLCs through 125 camps conducted during the month.
