Under this scheme, 72 stations of the South Eastern Railway will be developed. Detailed, phased plans are made for each station based on its specific requirements, aiming to make stations cleaner, more comfortable, and easier to use.

Tamluk station in the East Midnapur District of West Bengal, which is a vital point for passenger and freight transportation on the Panskura-Digha branch line, is currently undergoing a massive transformation under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The redevelopment of Tamluk Station, which is part of the Kharagpur Division, will provide improved passenger amenities and better connectivity to tourist destinations like Kanthi and Digha.

Upgraded facilities at Tamluk Stations include:

• Renovation of the Station building, Waiting room, toilet, and circulating area.
• Construction of a Foot Over Bridge and a New parking area.
• Installation of Two New Lifts.
• Improved platform shelter and platform surface, along with new platform seating arrangements.
• Provision of a New Facade & Porch and a Water Booth.
• Inclusion of Divyangjan facilities such as a dedicated Toilet, Drinking Water Booth, Booking Counter, Ramp, and Parking.
• Installation of Tactile and Braille Signs.
• New entry & exit Gates and a Baby Feeding Room.
• The station will be painted with themes reflecting local Art & Culture.
