The Electric Loco Shed, Lallaguda, has brought laurels to South Central Railway by winning the first prize in the “Beauty Contest for Electric Locos” held at Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), Varanasi. The competition, organized at the national level, saw the participation of 13 electric locomotives from various railway zones across the country.

Lallaguda’s well-maintained WAP-7 electric locomotive impressed the judges with its superior upkeep, aesthetic appearance, and high standards of technical maintenance. The award was jointly shared with Royapuram Electric Loco Shed of Southern Railway, reflecting a strong display of excellence from both zones.

On this remarkable achievement, the General Manager of South Central Railway extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire Lallaguda Electric Loco Shed team. He applauded their dedication, technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence, which played a key role in earning this prestigious recognition.
