Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway has conducted a detailed review meeting on safety and monsoon preparedness forecasting rains across the zone on 26th May, 2025 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri Neeraj Agrawal, Additional General Manager, SCR participated in the meeting along with all the Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.    

The General Manager advised the officials to conduct the safety drives in view of monsoon for strict implantation of the safety procedures to ensure safety in train operations. He instructed the officials to strengthen patrolling at all identified vulnerable sections at tracks, bridges and locations with heavy rainfall to prevent unsafe conditions. He advised the Divisional Railway Managers to ensure proper working of signaling system etc., to avoid the unexpected failures in view of rainy season. 

The General Manager while emphasizing on the safety of train operations stated that, strict co-ordination to be maintained in train operations and all safety precautions to be followed while running the trains. He also instructed officials to focus on passenger’s safety at all levels by inspecting assets related to safety. He instructed official to strengthen track patrolling by deploying additional RPF and Track patrolling staff to identify the miscreants’ activities to ensure track safety. He instructed the staff/officials to strictly adhere the standard safety protocols at level crossing gates over the zone to ensure the safety of the trains and road commuters.as well. He also discussed on the availability of CCTVs over the zone including private sidings to ensure security and transparency. 

Earlier, Shri Arun Kumar Jain launched a new version-2.0 of e-DAS (Electronic Drawing Approval System) which will be helpful to maintain database related to engineering drawings and help full for approvals by the competent authority. This will promote paperless working, saves time and the money.
