Bengaluru–Belagavi Vande Bharat Express to Begin Soon: A Boost for Karnataka's Connectivity

In a significant move to strengthen rail infrastructure in Karnataka, the Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express is set to be extended to Belagavi. Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw has officially approved the extension, marking a major development for rail passengers in the region.

Union Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti, V. Somanna, announced the news via X (formerly Twitter), sharing a letter signed by Minister Vaishnaw confirming the approval. The extended service is expected to commence soon.

This extension will offer faster, more comfortable, and time-saving travel between Bengaluru and Belagavi, benefiting daily commuters, business travelers, and tourists alike. It will also improve regional connectivity, reduce road congestion, and contribute to the economic development of north Karnataka by linking it more closely with the state capital.
