Shri Sumit Singhal, Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) / Metro & NF Circle inspected the automatic Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling system from Joka to Majerhat stretch of the Purple Line, on 22.03.25. CRS inspection and approval are mandatory for commissioning of the Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling system from Joka to Majerhat stretch of the Purple Line.

CRS started his inspection this morning from Joka Depot of the Purple Line and inspected the carshed, rolling stock, maintenance facility, etc. He also inspected the stretch from Joka Depot to Majerhat station in a rake to check train operations with the CBTC system.

After reaching Majerhat, CRS inspected the Operation Control Centre (OCC) at Majerhat station.

During this inspection, Shri Anuj Mittal, Principal Chief Engineer (PCE), other high-level officials of Metro Railway, and Shri Amit Tandon, ED/Metro, RVNL, and other officials accompanied him.
