Kernex Microsystems has secured a significant contract worth ₹2,041 crore from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) for the installation of 2,500 onboard Kavach safety systems. The project entails the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of these advanced anti-collision systems, aiming to enhance railway safety. Completion is slated for the end of 2025.
With a legacy in railway safety systems since 1999, Kernex Microsystems has been a pioneer in developing anti-collision devices (ACDs) and other safety technologies for Indian Railways. The Kavach project further cements its commitment to innovation in rail safety.
Kavach, an indigenous Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system, is a critical component of the Indian Railways' modernization efforts, ensuring enhanced operational safety and efficiency.
