Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook safety inspection in Malkajgiri – Sitafalmandi section on 26th November, 2024. He was accompanied by Shri Bhartesh Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division; Shri Lokesh Vishnoi, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division and other senior officials throughout the inspection. The General Manager advised the officials to strengthen the safety of tracks in the section and expedite the safety works planned in the section at the earliest.

The Sitafalmandi Chord line connecting Malkajgiri to Kacheguda is o­ne of the important routes in twin city region helping in the movement of trains between Northern and Southern regions including passenger, express and superfast trains. This important section helps in providing direct movement of trains coming from Kazipet and going towards Kacheguda/ Bengaluru and vice-versa, without touching Malkajgiri or Secunderabad station. Recently, the doubling works including construction of Road Under Bridge near Alugadda Bavi junction have been successfully completed with minimal inconvenience to road users.
