Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a railway signalling and infrastructure contract worth ₹161.02 crore from East Coast Railway, aimed at enhancing signalling reliability and operational safety across the network. The contract, with an execution timeline of 18 months, covers the provision of Multi-Section Digital Axle Counters (MSDAC) across identified sections and stations in the Khurda Road (KUR) Division.

The project is focused on strengthening the Automatic Block Signalling (ABS) system by improving train detection and signalling reliability. The deployment of MSDAC technology is expected to support safer and more efficient railway operations across the targeted sections of the East Coast Railway.
