Delhi Metro and the NCR Transport Corporation (NCRTC) launched an integrated QR-ticketing system on Monday, allowing passengers to book tickets for both transport networks through their respective mobile applications. The announcement was made by NCRTC MD Shalabh Goel and DMRC MD Vikas Kumar.

The new system enables commuters to purchase Delhi Metro QR tickets via the RRTS Connect app and Namo Bharat QR tickets through the DMRC Momentum 2.0 app. This integration facilitates seamless travel between the Delhi Metro and RRTS systems, simplifying ticketing and enhancing the overall commuter experience.

This initiative aligns with the government’s One India-One Ticket program, designed to streamline inter-modal travel for passengers. By consolidating metro and RRTS travel options into a single digital platform, the system reduces queues at stations and encourages digital payments, contributing to cleaner, environmentally friendly travel.

The launch builds on an earlier MoU between NCRTC and IRCTC, enabling passengers to book Namo Bharat train tickets alongside Indian Railway tickets via the IRCTC platform.

With the 42-kilometer RRTS corridor now connected to the 393-kilometer DMRC metro network, this integration will ease congestion and offer a more sustainable and efficient travel experience for commuters in the region.
