RailTel Corporation of India’s shares surged by 10% in intraday trading on 16th October, 2024, hitting ₹449 per share, after securing a ₹79 crore contract from the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). The project includes setting up, migrating, and managing a cloud-based data center and disaster recovery site for MHADA.
This marks RailTel's third major order in October. Earlier, on October 2, the company secured two contracts worth ₹142.87 crore from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for IT network infrastructure and CCTV system upgrades at metro stations and depots.
