Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has secured a major infrastructure contract worth Rs. 967.92 crore from East Coast Railway for the development of key bridge works in Odisha. The company has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for the project, which focuses on strengthening rail infrastructure along the Bhadrak–Vizianagaram section.
The awarded work primarily involves the construction of significant bridges aimed at enhancing the capacity and reliability of rail operations in the region. The project is scheduled for completion within a period of three years.This contract is expected to improve connectivity and support smoother train movement across the corridor, which is an important route under the East Coast Railway network. The win also highlights RVNL’s continued role in executing large-scale and technically demanding railway infrastructure projects across the country.
