The workshop underlined RITES’ ongoing commitment to nurturing a culture of technological innovation within the organisation and the Indian railway ecosystem. Among the highlights was VISTAR (Visual Inspection System through AI for Rails) — a state-of-the-art solution designed to enhance precision, reliability, and data-driven quality assurance in rail inspection and maintenance.The AI-enabled platform automates visual inspection processes, enabling faster detection of anomalies, improving accuracy, and reducing manual intervention. This not only strengthens asset monitoring but also contributes to predictive maintenance, thereby minimising downtime and enhancing network safety.
