In a significant leadership update for India’s bullet train mission, Shri Anjum Pervez has been given the additional responsibility of serving as the Managing Director of the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), effective 17 July 2025. He will continue to hold his current role as Director (Project) within the organization.

Shri Pervez has been closely associated with NHSRCL since its early days, having joined the corporation on 6 December 2016, when it was just taking shape. As part of the core founding team, his efforts have been central to laying the groundwork for India’s first high-speed rail venture—the Mumbai to Ahmedabad corridor.

With deep expertise in infrastructure planning and project delivery, Shri Pervez has been a driving force behind the progress of this prestigious initiative. His elevation comes at a time when the high-speed rail project is advancing rapidly, and his expanded leadership role is expected to further strengthen its execution.
