IRCON International Ltd. has secured its first order for the implementation of the Kavach Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system from South Western Railway. The ₹253.56 crore contract covers survey, design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Kavach equipment and associated works across 778 Route Kilometers (RKM) in the Bengaluru and Mysuru Divisions.
This project marks a significant step for IRCON as it enters a new project vertical focused on train safety systems. Kavach, developed by Indian Railways, is a cutting-edge ATP system designed to prevent train collisions and enhance operational safety.
Under the guidance of CMD Shri Hari Mohan Gupta, IRCON is steadily expanding its capabilities and contributing to the safety-focused vision of Indian Railways.
