In a major engineering feat, NCRTC has completed the installation of a 200-tonne steel span over the Barapullah Flyover, linking the Sarai Kale Khan station with the upcoming Jangpura stabling yard. This complex operation, executed with precision using high-capacity cranes over 10 consecutive nights, was carried out in close coordination with the Public Works Department (PWD) and Delhi Traffic Police to minimize traffic disruption.  The newly installed span will enhance operational readiness for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor, expected to be fully operational by 2025. According to NCRTC officials, the Jangpura stabling yard — strategically located near Sarai Kale Khan — is being developed to house the modern Namo Bharat trains, forming a critical part of the RRTS infrastructure.

This development marks another milestone in India’s high-speed transit network, promising faster and smoother regional connectivity for millions.
