On 18th March 2025, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, inaugurated the first batch of the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme. Launched by the Capacity Building Commission, this initiative aims to transform the approach of Central Government employees towards public service.
The programme's core objective is to strengthen the spirit of 'Seva Bhav' (service-oriented mindset) among employees, fostering accountability and a deeper commitment to public service. Kotecha emphasized that the programme goes beyond promoting "seva." It is designed to upskill individuals, broaden their perspectives, and help them realize the privileges they hold, encouraging them to contribute to the well-being of others both professionally and personally.
Shri Satyajit Paul, Deputy Director General and Head of the Capacity Building Unit, underlined the importance of adopting the right approach to public service. He noted that such an approach not only helps employees perform their duties efficiently but also reduces stress, ensures timely service delivery, and contributes to a peaceful work environment. He encouraged participants to embrace the training and apply its teachings to improve service delivery to citizens.
The training sessions, led by Dr. Subodh Kumar (Director) and facilitated by Ms. Shipra Singh (Program Coordinator), involved active engagement from participants. They gained a deeper understanding of their roles within the Ministry of Ayush and the broader goals of national development.
The programme adopts an interactive methodology, replacing traditional lectures with structured discussions, teamwork, and problem-solving exercises. It encourages self-discovery, motivation, and reflection on personal growth and leadership. Insights from successful initiatives by the Ministry of Ayush were also shared, offering real-world context to enhance the participants' learning experience.
